During Sunday’s game where the Washington Commanders faced off against the Detroit Lions, some fans expressed their displeasure towards former President Donald Trump, a move that a former Redskins cheerleader argues does not reflect the views of the broader American public.

Jillian Anderson, who spent 13 years in Washington D.C. and gained fame as a contestant on ‘The Bachelor,’ spoke to Fox News about her experiences. “When I was younger, I kept a lot of my political beliefs to myself because the area is aggressively liberal, and at the time, I was more concerned about confrontation,” she explained.

Anderson, a staunch supporter of Trump, criticized the reaction of Washington D.C. residents, suggesting they “clearly don’t know what’s good for them.”

“Honestly, I’m not surprised parts of the crowd booed [Trump],” Anderson remarked. “That’s the same city that has repeatedly elected Mayor Bowser.”

Trump received a mixed reception at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, amid a challenging period for him. Recently, candidates he backed suffered defeats in the gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, as well as in New York City’s mayoral election. Additionally, he has been criticized for rising prices among other pressing issues.

A former booker for Candace Owens’ erstwhile Daily Wire podcast, Anderson rejected that criticism while speaking with Fox News. What’s more, she was impressed to see Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown imitating Trump’s notorious arm-jerking dance from the campaign trail.

Anderson has also previously met the president, posting a photo to her 70,000 Instagram fans

‘I’m from a blue-collar town in the Midwest, and I relate way more to the Detroit Lions player doing the Trump dance,’ said Anderson. 

‘The past 10 months of accomplishments while Trump has been in office have been historic – he just keeps winning for America. I think the majority of the country agrees, and that liberal crowd isn’t reflective of that.’

Naturally, Anderson wished she could have been dancing for Trump on Sunday: ‘I personally would’ve loved to have been working when President Trump watched a game.’

Anderson previously appeared on two seasons of the hit reality TV show ‘The Bachelor’, and also worked at Fox as a morning show producer in the wake of her years cheerleading for Washington’s NFL team.

Trump appeared at the Commanders game following an ESPN report that he’s hoping the team names its next stadium after him.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt did not confirm or deny that report, but instead used it to remind the media of Trump’s purported role in the plans.

‘That would surely be a beautiful name, as it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible,’ Leavitt said.

In December, a month prior to Trump’s inauguration, Congress based a bipartisan bill to transfer the site of the old Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium to the District of Columbia, thereby clearing the final roadblock for the proposed stadium. Outgoing President Joe Biden then signed the bill into law.

Nonetheless, Trump took credit for the agreement between the Commanders and District of Columbia to allow the team to build a new stadium at the site of its former home, RFK Stadium.

‘I don’t think there is a better site anywhere in the world than that site,’ Trump said in April. 

‘It sat there for years and people were talking about stadiums and 25 different sites. I said they’re not talking about the best site. That’s the best site there is.’
