Actress Dasha Nekrasova, known for her role in the series Succession and A24’s Materialists, has been dropped by the talent agency Gersh. This decision comes in the wake of a controversial podcast interview with far-right figure Nick Fuentes that recently resurfaced. A Gersh representative confirmed the agency’s action to Deadline, marking a quick industry reaction to the unfolding controversy.

The repercussions have also impacted the film Iconoclast, an upcoming thriller directed by Gabriel Basso, star of The Night Agent. Although Nekrasova was recently announced for the cast, sources revealed to Deadline that her contract was retracted before finalization due to the backlash surrounding the podcast. The interview with Fuentes, which was uploaded to YouTube a month ago, gained significant attention in Hollywood only this past week, triggering swift efforts to dissociate from the actress.

Nekrasova has not yet issued any public comment on the situation.

The contentious interview featured on the podcast Red Scare, which Nekrasova co-hosts alongside Anna Khachiyan. Titled “Fuentanyl OD – Nick Fuentes x Red Scare (Dasha Nekrasova and Anna Khachiyan),” the two-and-a-half-hour episode was primarily audio due to what Nekrasova described as “technical problems.” It amassed over 220,000 views before its removal from YouTube.

During the discussion, the group delved into topics like “international jewery” and perpetuated offensive stereotypes about Jewish people, Italians, Asians, and other groups. The conversation also included troubling comments regarding the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries, particularly targeting non-white individuals.

Fuentes, widely viewed as the leader of the “Groypers” and a major figure in far-right online culture, is known for pushing an “America First” ideology well outside mainstream conservatism. His notoriety intensified even compared to Charlie Kirk — the Trump-aligned media personality assassinated on September 10 during a Utah debate event — who was himself frequently criticized for his stances on immigration, race, January 6, and Covid.

As CNN reports, Fuentes is a “well-known White nationalist and Holocaust denier.” Publicly, he identifies as a Christian nationalist and promotes anti-LGBTQ, anti-feminist, and misogynist positions, regularly attacking Kirk’s Turning Point USA for being insufficiently extreme.
