WASHINGTON — Jack Doherty, a well-known YouTube prankster, was apprehended in the Miami, Florida area on Saturday, facing allegations linked to drug offenses, as reported by the Miami Beach Police Department.

Authorities claim Doherty stepped into the middle of Washington Avenue around 3:12 a.m. on Saturday to create video content. This act allegedly obstructed traffic and created what police described as a “dangerous situation.”

After he refused police commands to leave the roadway, Doherty reportedly shouted, “once I’m done with this bet,” before being taken into custody.

According to arrest records obtained by NBC News, Doherty is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. The documents specifically accuse him of possessing amphetamine.

Doherty is known for prank and stunt videos, and has more than 15 million subscribers on YouTube, over 10 million followers on TikTok and more than 3 million followers on Instagram. 

Hours before his arrest, Doherty posted videos of himself on a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night out on the app Parti.

It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney. His bond was set at $3,500.
