Jack Doherty, a 22-year-old YouTuber famed for his audacious stunts and pranks, found himself in legal trouble early Saturday morning in Miami Beach. The social media personality was arrested following an incident where he allegedly blocked traffic to film content, according to local police.

The Miami Beach Police reported that the incident unfolded around 3:12 a.m. in the bustling Entertainment District. Doherty, accompanied by his crew, reportedly stepped onto the roadway to shoot video content. This act, police stated, not only obstructed traffic but also posed a considerable safety risk.

Authorities claimed Doherty ignored multiple orders to vacate the street, allegedly responding with, “Once I’m done with this bet!” before officers intervened and arrested him.

Upon his arrest, a search revealed potentially illegal substances in Doherty’s possession. Officers discovered what they described as “half of an orange oval-shaped pill with a ‘3’ imprinted on it, consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine.” Additionally, they found a black container holding three hand-rolled cigarettes suspected to be cannabis, weighing approximately 4 grams.

Doherty now faces three charges: possession of a controlled substance, possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis, and resisting an officer without violence. The incident adds to the growing list of challenges faced by online influencers navigating the thin line between entertainment and the law.

According to booking records, Doherty was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and his bond was set at $3,500.

Bodycam video from the arrest reportedly shows him arguing with police, and at one point, he even begged officers to let him remove his watch so he could pass it to a friend.

Doherty has built a huge online presence — around 15 million YouTube subscribers, plus millions more on TikTok and Instagram.

He’s no stranger to controversy: in 2024, he crashed his $200,000 McLaren during a livestream, reportedly while looking at his phone in wet conditions—an incident that led to a ban from the Kick platform.

His public persona leans heavily into provocative content: stunts, confrontations with strangers, and pranks dancing on the edge of legality. But this arrest could mark a real turning point. While his team hasn’t issued a full statement yet, the Miami Beach Police insisted that “regardless of celebrity status,” they will enforce public safety standards.
