Kelly Dodd has offered new insights into the reasons behind Meghan King’s loss of custody of her three children to her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds. In a candid TikTok video shared on Wednesday, Dodd commented on the situation that has captured public attention.

The news recently broke that Jim Edmonds, aged 55, was awarded sole physical custody of their children: eight-year-old daughter Aspen and twin sons Hart and Hayes, who are seven. This decision followed an investigation by Child Protective Services (CPS). Kelly Dodd, a 50-year-old star from the Real Housewives of Orange County, provided her perspective after having a conversation with Meghan, who is 41.

“I just got off the phone with her,” Dodd revealed, mentioning that Meghan had administered Ritalin, a medication commonly prescribed for ADHD, to one of the twins, Hayes. Kelly suggested that this action may have been interpreted as making Meghan a “dangerous mother.”

Despite their history of “a lot of differences and a lot of fights,” Kelly voiced her belief in Meghan’s capabilities as a parent, underscoring her support amid the ongoing custody battle.

Although Kelly acknowledged that she and Meghan have had a “lot of differences and a lot of fights,” she didn’t doubt that she was a fit parent. 

“She stayed at my house. I took care of her when she got her boobs and her nose done, and I can tell you, she loves those babies. She loves those kids, and I know for a fact she is a good mother. She is an excellent mother, and I just pray that she gets her babies back,” Kelly told her online audience. 

“Everyone just pray for Meghan and her family,” she continued. “Those boys and that daughter need their mom. They need their mother, and it’s terrible. It’s terrible what is going on right now. All we can do is just pray for Meghan.”

Us Weekly confirmed the news of Meghan’s custody loss on November 19, revealing that the CPS investigation had been prompted by a school employee.

The outlet also noted that Meghan had been granted supervised visitation with the children and that the current custodial arrangement was temporary, pending a hearing in early December.
