In the latest teaser for “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” Glenn Close is nearly unrecognizable, leaving audiences astonished.

At 78, Close makes a striking transformation in the preview released on Thursday, donning artificial teeth and facial prosthetics that dramatically alter her appearance.

Portraying Drusilla Sickle, the escort for District 12 tributes, Close addresses the crowd with gravitas: “Welcome, Panem, to the magnificent reaping of District 12.” She then reveals the twist that twice as many tributes will be required for the upcoming “Hunger Games.”

“Twice the tributes,” she declares. “Twice the glory.”

The trailer transitions to an intense scene where the contestants find themselves in a lush, wooded arena, ready to confront the challenges and each other.

“Next year, a new era of the Games begins,” the screen reads before the trailer closes.

Close’s appearance in the forthcoming movie’s trailer comes on the heels of her recent turn in Hulu’s critically panned “All’s Fair” alongside Kim Kardashian.

The prequel film is based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 book of the same name within the “Hunger Games” series.

The book “revisits the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of ‘The Hunger Games,’ starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell,” according to the author’s site.

“As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem,” reads the description.

“This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves,” it continues.

Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, McKenna Grace, Ralph Fiennes, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jesse Plemons, Elle Fanning, Kieran Culkin, Maya Hawke and Billy Porter also star in the film.

“The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” will be released in theaters on Nov. 20, 2026.
