Gabourey Sidibe recently received a heartwarming visit from two very important people on her movie set: her adorable twins, Cooper and Maya!

During the weekend, the star of “Give Me Back My Daughter” delighted fans by posting a charming photo on Instagram. In the picture, Sidibe is seen cradling her 19-month-old twins during their surprise visit as she took on the role of director for her latest film endeavor.

With a joyful smile, Sidibe stood proudly beside her director’s chair, skillfully holding both toddlers. She humorously noted in her caption that the twins “…still aren’t allowed to watch screens.”

Her supportive husband, Brandon Frankel, showered her with compliments in the comments section, expressing his admiration: “Watching you be a boss on set and the best mom is such an honor.”

He also shared his happiness about the family reunion, saying, “I’m really glad the twins and I were able to travel across the country so they could be reunited with mama @gabbysidibe while she directed a new movie. Seeing them light up when they got to see her after weeks of her being gone (minus FaceTimes and videos daily) was magical.”

He concluded, “WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!”

Sidibe recently spoke about balancing motherhood with her career as she returned to acting for Lifetime’s Give Me Back My Daughter.

She shared that stepping back into work reminded her of the value of staying connected to herself outside of motherhood. “I would say take the time to — it feels stupid to say — hold space for yourself,” she told People Magazine.

“Take the time and enjoy this peace, where there’s not a tiny human asking you for things at all times. But, [also] really remember who you are. Really take the time and take the space to do it and re-fall in love with yourself really. Because truly, motherhood is so consuming.”

Earlier this year, Gabourey and Brandon celebrated Cooper and Maya’s first birthday with matching themed onesies and a sweet tribute from Dad. Frankel reflected on the joy of watching their little ones grow, walking, talking, and making everyone laugh.

“It’s an honor to watch you become the little people you are,” he wrote. “We love being your parents — the best is yet to come.”
