CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The cherished tradition at Daily Bread Soup Kitchen is set to return for another year, and the staff is eagerly calling on the community to join in the festivities.

This year, the team will distribute Christmas-themed knapsacks brimming with essential personal hygiene items and winter apparel like hats and gloves. Donations can be dropped off at Daily Bread, located at 116 North First Street, from December 1st through December 12th.

In a flyer, the staff expressed excitement about the event: “This initiative is a wonderful chance to spread some seasonal cheer and magic to our guests as the winter chill arrives. If you can provide the ITEMS, our volunteers at Daily Bread Soup Kitchen will handle the STUFFING of the knapsacks, ensuring a merrier Christmas for everyone.”
