CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Following a fire that erupted on Wednesday at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Champaign, an associate pastor has expressed concerns that the blaze was a deliberate attack.

Associate Pastor Leonard McKinnis reported the discovery of a rock inside the church’s entrance, lying beside a shattered window. He noted that a sleeping bag was found on the floor, suggesting it may have been used to clear the glass, enabling someone to gain entry through the broken window.
