Exclusive Report: A series of alarming incidents involving armed intruders have reportedly occurred in Melbourne’s north-east, leaving several homes targeted.

During one particularly harrowing overnight invasion, a group brandishing machetes broke into a residence, where they caused significant damage and looted the premises.

Surveillance footage captured the moment the assailants used machetes to shatter a bedroom window, forcing their way into the Heidelberg West home of a 23-year-old man with a disability.

“This kind of behavior is unacceptable in our community,” stated the man’s mother, expressing her outrage and concern.

“He’s traumatized. He’s in a state of constant fear—unable to sleep, frequently in tears, and visibly shaken,” she added.

Her son luckily wasn’t home during the early morning attack.

He moved back in with her on Friday due to fears for his safety

“I’m just thankful that he’s alive and he didn’t have to witness the machetes in his face or anything more horrific,” she said.

“These youth need to stop doing this to innocent, vulnerable people.”

The victim’s family believes the gang was after expensive clothes and shoes.

One person was allegedly captured with a full bag before he tried to get rid of the evidence.

The disabled man wasn’t the only one targeted overnight.

In separate incidents in Viewbank, two 17-year-old boys allegedly tried to break into three homes.

They were disturbed by the residents and arrested shortly after.

“We’re not feeling safe, and we’re hoping the authorities will take this seriously and make Melbourne safe,” another local said.
