Cruz Beckham savages Cristiano for boastful claim

The youngest son of David Beckham has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s assertion that he is more physically appealing than the retired Manchester United star.

During a recent interview with Piers Morgan on Uncensored, Ronaldo was asked for his opinion on who he thought had the better looks.

In a manner typical of the Portuguese striker, now in his forties and playing his third season with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, he confidently expressed his viewpoint.

“His face is attractive, sure, a handsome face,” Ronaldo remarked. “But the rest is ordinary. I’m extraordinary. I’m perfect.”

On Monday, Cruz Beckham, 20, took to Instagram to respond to the comment. He compared Ronaldo’s facial features from when he first joined Manchester United as an unknown teenager in 2003 to those of Beckham in his early twenties.

The record breaking striker was a rough-around-the edges 18-years old when he joined the Premier League giants following one impressive season with Sporting Lisbon, and Cruz appeared keen to draw attention to his less than polished appearance while matching the photo alongside a rather more flattering image of his father.

‘For me [good] looking is not only the face but the whole package,’ a bullish Ronaldo explained during his November interview with Morgan.

‘Imagine Cristiano and a normal guy with red speedos on the Copacabana, you think I am not going to have a chance with nobody.’

Pressed again on the comparison to Beckham, Morgan eventually drew a boastful answer from the legendary footballer.

‘You’re walking across the Copacabana for, say, ten minutes. Who gets the most attention?’ he asked.

‘Me, 100 percent,’ Ronaldo boasted, prompting laughter from Morgan.

The light-hearted comment drew laughter from the pair, before Ronaldo offered a more charitable opinion about the former Manchester United and England ace.

‘He’s looking good,’ Ronaldo admitted. ‘I like him, he is a guy who speaks good, I like him.’

The Portuguese star – the world’s first billionaire footballer – also suggested he is the most famous person on the planet, saying: ‘We’ll do a debate for the world, who’s the most famous? Me or President Donald Trump?

‘I think, in the world, even in small islands, they know me more than him.’

Somewhat predictably, the Portuguese striker - now into his third season with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr - was unequivocal in his response
