Since its debut in 2016, the series has captivated audiences, and it will celebrate its grand finale with an “Ultra Screening” event, offering fans the chance to experience Izuku Midoriya’s final chapter in theaters.

Spanning nearly six hours and including scheduled breaks, the marathon will culminate with a synchronized viewing of Season 8’s concluding episode, simultaneous with its TV broadcast. Attendees will also receive a special Epilogue Visual card, with details about the artwork to be disclosed at a later date.
In addition to the screening, the event will feature special greetings from the cast before and after the final episode. In addition to the screening, the franchise has organized several digital events to honor the series’ musical legacy.
My Hero Academia, which tells the story of how a Quirkless boy named Izuku Midoriya becomes one of the greatest heroes of his times, has served as a gateway for millions of new fans into the anime medium. While the series sticks to the shonen staple of following the underdog main character, Horikoshi’s ability to write compelling character arcs and make viewers emotionally invested in their journey ensured that My Hero Academia would be a favorite of critics and audiences alike. The anime adaptation dominated the early years of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, sweeping multiple categories in 2018 including Anime of the Year, whereas the manga, which concluded in 2024, has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation.
On Dec. 13, the curtains will fall on one of the most popular superhero stories of modern times, marking the end of an era. However, My Hero Academia is going out in style, as the final season is currently standing as one of the highest-rated anime series of the year. International fans can watch the conclusion of Deku’s story on Crunchyroll.
