A significant development has emerged in the case of the missing pregnant woman, Rebecca Park, as both her sister and fiancé have been apprehended. This follows the discovery of a body on Tuesday in Manistee National Forest, which searchers believe to be Park’s. However, official confirmation of the body’s identity is pending.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office has stated that while the body found “resembles” the 22-year-old Rebecca Park, it is ultimately up to the coroner to confirm whether it is indeed her. Meanwhile, speculation swirls across social media platforms, despite warnings from the sheriff’s office that such misinformation has complicated their investigation efforts.

Much of the public conjecture has focused on Park’s family members, particularly her fiancé, Richard Lee Falor, her sister, Kimberly Park, and her mother, Cortney Boatwright. In a dramatic turn of events, Kimberly Park was arrested on Wednesday morning, shortly after Falor’s apprehension on charges unrelated to Park’s disappearance. Falor faces two counts of delivering methamphetamine and has been assigned a $1 million bond due to being considered a flight risk, as reported by WPBN.

As these arrests unfold, the community anxiously awaits further updates and official confirmation regarding the identity of the body, hoping for closure in this troubling case.

Kimberly Park was taken into custody early Wednesday morning, just hours after the arrest of Falor, who was charged with two counts of delivering methamphetamine, WPBN reported. He given a $1 million bond after a judge deemed him a flight risk.

Park was charged with tampering with evidence, lying to a police officer, and filing a false report of a felony. She was also deemed a flight risk and was given a $750,000 bond.

Should either of them post bond, they will be on a GPS tether.

The sheriff’s office and state investigators have not provided any further information, including regarding the condition of the body.

“There’s a lot of moving parts, and the sheriff will give updates as soon as they become available,” said Michigan State Police Seventh District Public Information Officer Ashley Miller. “Right now, it is very active. We have a lot of detectives and department members working on this.”

Miller told the Detroit Free Press that an autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

Rebecca Park was last seen on November 3 when she got into a car outside her mother’s home after reportedly telling a family member someone was picking her up. She was about 38 weeks pregnant.

Falor and Kimberly Park are scheduled for probable cause hearings on December 2.
