Four lucky tickets from California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina came close to hitting the jackpot on Wednesday, each matching the first five numbers but falling short of the Powerball number. These tickets are each worth a cool $1 million.
WASHINGTON — The Powerball jackpot has climbed to a staggering $719 million after no ticket matched all the numbers in Wednesday night’s $681 million draw.
Although the grand prize remains unclaimed, players in four states still have reason to celebrate with their seven-figure wins. The tickets in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina matched all but the elusive Powerball number, bringing each a million-dollar payday.
The jackpot has been rolling over since September 6, when two lucky tickets hit the jackpot for a breathtaking $1.8 billion.
For those who participated in Wednesday’s drawing, now is the perfect time to check your tickets against the winning numbers. Who knows, you might be holding a millionaire-making ticket!
