JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – On Thursday, Haven of Mercy Ministries extended their generosity by serving hot meals to thousands within the community, including inmates at the Unicoi jail, as part of their Thanksgiving Day outreach.

Dez Lambert, a participant in the meal event, expressed that the gathering offers a sense of family to those who might miss out on spending the holidays with loved ones.

“Being here and feeling the positive energy and love, with everyone coming together, is something special,” Lambert shared. “It’s not something I’m accustomed to, but it truly warms the heart to be part of it.”
