SAVANNAH, Ga. – Happy Black Friday!
As you venture out for this year’s Black Friday shopping, brace yourself for the chilly weather. Morning temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Despite the sunny skies predicted for today, temperatures are expected to remain 10 to 15 degrees below the usual, peaking only in the low to mid-50s. Prepare for another cold night, as temperatures could drop back to around 32 degrees with wind chills plunging to the low to mid-20s early Saturday. The sun will persist through Saturday, although temperatures will stay cool, reaching the upper 50s.
Sunday brings a change with the approach of a warm front, increasing cloud cover and boosting temperatures into the low 70s. However, this brief warmth will be interrupted by a cold front arriving on Monday, which is expected to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will dip into the mid-60s. The unsettled weather is likely to persist into Tuesday, with temperatures remaining in the mid-60s as the front stalls.
By Wednesday, the cold front is set to advance, causing temperatures to drop further, 10 to 15 degrees below normal, with highs only reaching the upper 50s to low 60s. Fortunately, dry conditions are expected to settle in from Wednesday onwards, providing a respite for the rest of the week.
