The highly anticipated list of the year’s top 10 best-selling manga has finally been unveiled, showcasing a mix of popular Shonen Jump titles alongside a few unexpected entries.

According to data from Oricon, the top four manga on the list each achieved impressive sales, surpassing 1.2 million copies. Meanwhile, the manga in fifth place, My Hero Academia Volume 42, sold 977,955 units. At the other end of the spectrum, The Apothecary Diaries Volume 15 rounded out the list with 566,342 copies sold. The complete list provides a snapshot of the year’s manga landscape.

While shonen series dominate the rankings, The Apothecary Diaries and Kingdom distinguish themselves with their more nuanced storytelling. The Apothecary Diaries captivates with its intricate narrative rich in interpersonal drama and hidden dangers, while Kingdom offers a gripping, fictionalized account of China’s Warring States period, earning its place among the year’s bestsellers.

  1. One Piece Volume 111 – 1,370,154 units sold
  2. Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 30 – 1,329,993 units sold
  3. Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 29 – 1,298,880 units sold
  4. One Piece Volume 112 – 1,217,769 units sold
  5. My Hero Academia Volume 42 – 977,955 units sold
  6. Spy x Family Volume 15 – 802,206 units sold
  7. One Piece Volume 113 – 796,155 units sold
  8. Spy x Family Volume 16 – 633,210 units sold
  9. Kingdom Volume 74 – 583,210 units sold
  10. The Apothecary Diaries Volume 15 – 566,342 units sold

While the majority of the list is filled with shonen hits, both The Apothecary Diaries and Kingdom stand out as more dramatized, slow-burn titles that made their way onto the list. While The Apothecary Diaries offers readers a sprawling story filled with all manner of tense, interpersonal drama and shadowy threats, Kingdom delivers a fictionalized retelling of the Warring States period in Chinese history.

Spy x Family, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen are all well-known to anime and manga fans, and have been extremely popular for more than long enough to earn their spots on the list. This is especially true for My Hero Academia, which has picked up some renewed interest ahead of the anime’s conclusion next summer.

Perhaps the least surprising title to see on the list, let alone dominating it, is One Piece. The classic manga by Eiichiro Oda becoming the best-selling manga of the year stands as a major achievement, no matter how many major releases are on the horizon helping to drive greater interest in the title. Notably, 2025 also marks the third consecutive year that the series has topped the charts, and the 15th time in total for the manga — the most times any single series has done so in Oricon’s annual manga rankings.

Currently, One Piece fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next season of the anime sometime next year, during which the series will take on the hit “Elbaf” arc from the original manga. Better yet, fans may have already received tacit confirmation of who will be voicing one infamous character set to make their debut when the arc kicks off in 2026, with Kenjiro Tsuda recently taking the role of Figarland Shamrock.

The twisted evil brother of the beloved Captain Shanks, Figarland Shamrock was only seen in a brief cameo during the “Levely” arc in Episode 887. Since then, fans have been waiting to see not just when Shamrock will return, but who will step into the role. Fortunately, a teaser trailer for the upcoming 113th volume of the One Piece manga may have answered that question, as Tsuda can be heard voicing Shamrock in the official promo.
