Megan McKenna shared on Monday that she’s dealing with an infection in her earlobes after getting them pierced earlier this year.

Singing lightheartedly from her kitchen while wearing pink floral pajamas, Megan announced, “I have infected earlobes from the piercings I got months ago.”

The 28-year-old former TOWIE star displayed her bandaged ears as she turned her head, describing the situation as “an absolute nightmare.”

Megan went on to say, “You wouldn’t believe how bad they look… I’m considering posting a picture, but it’s not for the squeamish.”

Appearing concerned, the reality star detailed her ordeal from the comfort of her kitchen while enjoying a warm drink.

She showcased her natural beauty and went make-up free for the video with her hair in a relaxed bun as she showcased her injuries for her followers. 

Moving swiftly on from her ailments, Megan then said: ‘But enough about my earlobes I am so excited for tomorrow night’s episode of Masterchef.’

Megan is currently a contestant on this year’s Celebrity Masterchef alongside Katie Price, Su Pollard, Gavin Esler, Dion Dublin, Kadeena Cox, Nabil Abdulrashid, Rita Simmons, Michelle Collins, Penny Lancaster, Joe Swash, Johannes Radebe, Kem Cetinay, Melissa Johns, Patrick Grant and Munya Chawawa.  

Speaking of Monday night’s episode on her Instagram story, Megan gushed: ‘I’m so glad my champagne chicken went down well.’  

And it’s no surprise Megan is a whizz in the kitchen as she previously owned her own restaurant MCK Grill. 

In the first look trailer, the reality star told the camera: ‘I’m actually buzzing,’ as she grinned at her culinary success.

In the new series, the celebrities will tackle a new selection of cookery challenges over six weeks. 

Renowned chefs including Tom Kerridge, Nisha Katona, Nieves Barragan Mohacho and more are also set to appear as special guest judges. 

The 2020 series of Celebrity MasterChef was won by Irish-Iraqi broadcaster and YouTube star Riyadh Khalaf. 

Taking to Instagram on Monday for the launch of the show, Megan looked upbeat as she posed with her thumbs up in front of the blue Masterchef logo.
