A 21-year-old man found himself in custody on Thursday in Glynn County, Georgia, following allegations of an attempted kidnapping.
Authorities apprehended Evert Amaya Luna on Thanksgiving Day, charging him with two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes. These charges arise from an incident involving two 12-year-old girls near Burnett Road and New Jesup Highway.
The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) dispatched officers to the scene after a 911 call reported that a man had approached the girls, attempting to grab their arms and persuade them to accompany him.
Luna was located in the vicinity and taken into custody. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division conducted interviews with witnesses and Luna, which resulted in his arrest, according to officials.
