SAVANNAH, Ga. – This Saturday morning greets us with a frosty chill, as freezing temperatures cover the area. Expect the day to remain cool, as temperatures climb only to the mid to upper 50s, offering a slight reprieve from yesterday’s colder conditions.

Tonight marks the end of the freezing spell, with temperatures dipping to the mid 40s as a warm front makes its way to the region. This shift promises a warmer Sunday, with highs reaching the low 70s and the possibility of a few stray showers.

As Monday rolls in, a cold front will sweep through, bringing temperatures back down to the lower 60s. The day may see isolated showers and thunderstorms, but the most significant rainfall is expected on Tuesday. Before the cold front’s arrival, temperatures will rise again to the low 70s, though rain and storms are anticipated throughout the day. After the front moves through, expect cooler air with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s by Wednesday, as the weather begins to clear.

Thursday looks dry, offering a brief respite before another system potentially brings showers on Friday. The anticipated rainfall this week is much needed and should aid in alleviating the ongoing drought situation across the region.
