Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has recently reconciled with her brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. However, a new report suggests that Teresa now aims to create a rift between Melissa and Margaret Josephs to potentially exclude Margaret from the group.

Teresa, 53, has had a rocky relationship with Melissa, 46, and Joe, 51, for quite a while. Their disagreements reached a climax during the fourteenth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, where they barely communicated. In September 2025, Teresa expressed her desire to mend ties with her family, leading to their reconciliation just before BravoCon 2025.
According to a source who spoke with Radar Online, Teresa is allegedly trying to sway Melissa against Margaret.
The insider revealed, “Teresa believes if she aligns with Melissa and convinces her to distance herself from Margaret, who Teresa has unresolved issues with, then Margaret might find herself marginalized on the show if it returns.”
They said, “She figures if she’s made up with Melissa and Melissa turns against Margaret, [then] Margaret, who Teresa admittedly has issues with, doesn’t like, and has not made up with, will not have a place on the show anymore if it does eventually come back.”
However, another insider spoke to the outlet, relaying that this could be a bad idea for Teresa. The person said, “First, Melissa and Margaret are real-life friends outside of the show. They’ve shared so many times and real-life things through the years, and Margaret has never done anything to Melissa, and vice versa. There would be no logical reason for her to turn against her.”
The insider continued, “Secondly, let’s say this did work and Margaret left the show. The show would 100% struggle without her. There would no one willing to get down in the mud and say what needs to be said to keep the show moving forward.”
From there, the insider compared RHONJ to The Real Housewives of Orange County as both shows need villains, which Margaret isn’t afraid to be. According to them, “Think about RHOC, once Tamra left the show, the show struggled to maintain its entertainment, ratings, and relevance. The same thing would happen without Margaret.”
They added, “She’s not afraid to be called a villain or play the role she has to, but some of her other casemates definitely are, so she’s needed on the show.”
The person concluded to the outlet, “As Bravo says, we’ll have to wait and watch what happens. But if Teresa’s goal is to eliminate Marge easily, it’s just not gonna happen. Period.”
This comes after reports that Bravo had lost interest in the show. This is especially the case as it seems they didn’t film Teresa reuniting with Joe and Melissa. Plus, the network has The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which has already been compared to the early years of RHONJ. If successful, there is a world where the executives could see the new Housewives show as a worthy replacement.
