White House launches new ‘media bias’ tracker on site

On Friday, the White House unveiled a new initiative—a “media bias” tracker—designed to spotlight news outlets it accuses of biased reporting against the current administration. This development comes in the wake of several recent verbal altercations between the president and reporters, which were sparked by their coverage of his policies and actions.

The tracker operates as a live webpage, cataloging a variety of articles from different media organizations. Each entry comes with a link to the original story and a White House claim that it contains either context omissions, falsehoods, misrepresentations, bias, or journalistic malpractice. This move represents a significant step in the ongoing tug-of-war between the Trump administration and the press.

In an official statement, the White House described the site as a resource to document what it deems “false and misleading stories” perpetuated by the media. The administration aims to provide the public with its perspective on the narratives it finds problematic.
