As the year draws to a close, Netflix is gearing up to make the festive season even more exhilarating for its subscribers. In the final stretch of 2025, the streaming giant has lined up a captivating array of new releases that promise to entertain and intrigue.

Among the most anticipated are the concluding four episodes of the globally popular series, Stranger Things. Fans can mark their calendars for the premieres on December 25 and December 31. However, that’s just the beginning of what’s in store for December. Viewers can also look forward to a riveting docuseries about the life of Sean “Diddy” Combs, a pioneering Western drama centered around female leads, and a fresh comedy series from the renowned British comedian, Rowan Atkinson.

‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’

One of the standout offerings is a four-part docuseries delving into the tumultuous journey of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Alexandria Stapleton, this series sheds light on the controversial aspects of Combs’ ascent to fame and his dominance in the hip-hop industry. Through candid interviews with former associates, childhood friends, artists, and employees, Sean Combs: The Reckoning reveals the complexities and darker facets of his storied career.

Netflix describes the series as “an explosive exploration of a powerful, enterprising man and the opulent empire he crafted — along with the shadowy underworld lurking beneath its polished exterior.” With never-before-seen materials and exclusive interviews, it promises an eye-opening narrative that will captivate audiences.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning premieres December 2. 

‘The Abandons’

Fans of revisionist Westerns like Godless, Hell on Wheels, and Deadwood will want to check out The Abandons. It stars Lena Headey from Game of Thrones and The X-Files alum Gillian Anderson as the rival matriarchs of two very different families living in Washington Territory in 1854. One is steeped in wealth and privilege, while the other is a found family of orphans and outcasts. The two clans find their fates linked by a series of circumstances, including two crimes and a piece of land that’s home to a silver deposit. 

The Abandons premieres December 4. 

‘Emily in Paris’ Season 5

Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) trades the City of Light for the Eternal City in season 5 of Emily in Paris. The lovable American expat has relocated to Rome to open an office of Agence Grateau, where she’s also pursuing a romance with a handsome Italian named Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini). But Emily’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) isn’t completely out of the picture, having realized at the end of season 4 that he wanted to be with Emily after all. 

Emily In Paris Season 5 premieres December 18.

‘Fugue State 1986’ 

León, a young literature student, struggles to separate truth from fiction after he learns that his his friend and mentor, Jeremías, was behind a mass killing in Bogotá. Inspired by the real-life Pozzetto massacre, this Colombian-produced series is “a haunting story about the fragility of reason, the allure of evil, and the invisible threads that can bind a writer to a murderer,” according to Netflix. 

Fugue State 1986 premieres December 4. 

‘Man vs Baby’ 

Rowan Atkinson is back as Trevor Bingley in this follow-up to 2022’s Man vs. Bee. This time around, Trevor has traded the stressful world of housesitting for a quieter job as a school caretaker. But an offer to look after a luxury London penthouse over the holidays proves too tempting to resist. Things get complicated when no one comes to pick up Baby Jesus after the school nativity play, leaving him with both a baby and and penthouse to keep an eye on, all while Christmas chaos swirls around him. 

Man vs. Baby premieres December 11.
