SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Following a brisk day yesterday, today’s forecast promises a pleasant warm-up, with temperatures climbing to the upper 60s and low 70s. Expect cloud cover to gradually increase as the day progresses, signaling the arrival of our next weather system.

Monday will see a slight drop in temperature, with highs settling in the low to mid-60s. The presence of a nearby cold front will result in mostly cloudy skies and a few scattered showers as the workweek begins. Anticipate more significant rainfall on Tuesday, as the front stalls to our south and a low-pressure area moves in, bringing widespread rain, thunderstorms, and breezy conditions. This weather system could deliver several inches of rain, providing some relief from the dry spell experienced over the past month.

After this system clears, sunshine will return for both Wednesday and Thursday. However, temperatures are expected to cool down, with highs only reaching the upper 50s and low 60s.

Tomorrow will be a bit cooler with highs only in the low to mid 60s. A cold front nearby will bring a mostly cloudy sky and the chance for a few stray showers to start the workweek. The heaviest rain, however, is expected on Tuesday. As the front stalls to our south and an area of low pressure moves in, we’ll see widespread rain and storms along with breezy conditions throughout the day. A few inches of rain are possible with this system, which should help chip away at the rainfall deficit we’ve built up over the past month.

Once the system moves out, sunshine returns for Wednesday and Thursday, though temperatures will dip back into the upper 50s and low 60s.
