Senator Cory Booker has tied the knot with Alexis Lewis, marking the end of a whirlwind romance, as he revealed on Sunday.

Booker, aged 56, took to Instagram to share snapshots from their two wedding ceremonies with Lewis, who is 38. The couple first celebrated their union in a private courthouse ceremony in Newark, NJ, attended by their parents. The second, more elaborate celebration, occurred in Washington, DC, with a larger gathering of guests.

During the courthouse ceremony, Lewis dazzled in a high-collared white dress paired with a cape and black heels. For the grander affair, she opted for a breathtaking strapless white lace gown.

According to the New York Times, the couple made their marriage official at the courthouse on November 24, and the wedding festivities continued on November 29. Their ceremony was interfaith, featuring both a rabbi and a pastor, reflecting Lewis’s Jewish faith and Booker’s Christian beliefs.

“Overflowing with gratitude,” the couple expressed in a joint Instagram post. “We said ‘I do’ in two places that shaped us—Cory’s beloved Newark and Alexis’s hometown of Washington, D.C.—first at the courthouse, then with our families.”

“Hearts full and so grateful,” they added.

Booker’s engagement to Lewis — who’s a director of investments at Brasa Capital Management, a real estate investment firm in Los Angeles — comes less than three months after he announced they were engaged.

The two met in May 2024 after being set up by a mutual friend known for matchmaking, the New York Times reported. They went on a blind date that lasted five hours, and he convinced her to push back her flight to Newark for a work trip to they could go out on a second date the next night.

They moved in together in April and by August, they were engaged after he proposed in Hawaii.

“Alexis is one of the greatest unearned blessings of my life,” he shared on Instagram while announcing their engagement. “She has transformed me, helping me to ground and center my inner life, and discover the joys of building a nurturing home with someone you love.”

Booker’s ex-girlfriend Rosario Dawson commented on the post, writing, “Love Love! Congratulations you two! ❤️❤️.”

Some fans have continued to comment that Lewis and Dawson, 46, look very similar.

One X user joked in response to Booker’s wedding news, “Rosario… Daw—oh, nevermind.”

Another X user referred to Lewis as Dawson’s “clone.”

“Is that Rosario Dawson’s sister?” another comment reads.

Booker and Dawson split in February 2022 after dating for three years, but have remained on good terms.

The politician gushed about the “Mandalorian” star back in 2019 during his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“She’s just a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons about love already,” Booker said of Dawson. “And sometimes you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable.”

“She really has this nurturing spirit that’s made me more courageous not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but even in our personal relationships, to love more fearlessly, so I’m very, very blessed to be with someone who makes me a better person,” he added.
