“Zootopia 2” has made a remarkable entrance into the box office scene, shattering records during its Thanksgiving debut.
The sequel to Disney’s animated hit raked in $156 million on the domestic front over its five-day opening weekend, while globally it amassed over $556 million.
This achievement marks “Zootopia 2” as the animated film with the highest global opening ever, as reported by Deadline. It also stands as Disney’s most successful global opening for an animated feature.

In the broader weekend box office landscape, “Wicked: For Good” secured the second spot effortlessly with a $62 million haul.
It’s almost a copy and paste from last year, when “Wicked” and another animated Disney sequel, “Moana 2,” drew big audiences to theaters on Thanksgiving weekend.
“Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” took the number three spot with $7 million in its third weekend.
