Ray J has found himself in a legal predicament.
The musician, whose real name is Willie Ray Norwood Jr., was taken into custody on Thanksgiving Day, facing allegations of making criminal threats, as confirmed by the Los Angeles police and reported by NBC News.
The incident unfolded when the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call around 4 a.m. on November 27 regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. Upon arrival, authorities detained Norwood, according to a statement shared by law enforcement with NBC News.
Online records indicate that the 44-year-old was released from custody later that day after posting a $50,000 bond.
TMZ released a video on November 27, which purportedly captures a heated exchange between Norwood and his estranged wife, Princess Love, whom he wed in 2016. It should be noted that this footage has yet to be independently verified by either NBC News or E! News.
In the video, which was originally shared as a livestream, Norwood and Love—who share a 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son—seem to be arguing over their children before Norwood appears to pull out a handgun.
