Investigations into a suspected shooting in Sydney’s south-west are being hampered by the victim’s unwillingness to cooperate with police.

Authorities were summoned to Fairfield Hospital late last night when a 43-year-old man showed up with a gunshot wound in his leg.

The location of the shooting and the identity of the shooter remain unclear at this time.

According to 9News, the victim has been uncooperative with law enforcement regarding the details of the incident.

The injured man was subsequently moved to a different hospital for further medical care.

Investigators are delving into the case and have impounded the vehicle used to transport the man to the hospital for forensic analysis.

A crime scene has not formally been declared, and police are urging anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
