A relentless search is ongoing for a suspect involved in a tragic mass shooting in Stockton, California, that claimed four lives over the weekend, including three children. Authorities have indicated that there may have been more than one shooter involved in the incident.
In an effort to apprehend the perpetrators, the FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. The victims, who were just 8, 9, 14, and 21 years old, were attending a birthday celebration for a 2-year-old. Witnesses describe the harrowing moment when the gunfire erupted just as the group gathered around the cake.
“As we prepared to cut the cake and everyone gathered around, gunshots suddenly rang out. People instinctively dropped to the ground. It was an unexpected nightmare. I am utterly shocked, overwhelmed, and at a loss for words,” expressed Patrice Williams, who had organized the party for her young daughter.
Williams continued, offering her condolences, “I just want to extend my deepest apologies to all the mothers who lost their children at my daughter’s birthday party.”

Sheriff Patrick Withrow of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the press on Monday that there “appears to be multiple shooters,” but authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
“They deserve to be in jail. They deserve to go to hell,” Williams said. “I’m sorry, but I just … it’s not respectable. It’s a kids’ party.”
