In a surprising sighting, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were seen enjoying a night out together in Japan, hand in hand, adding a touch of glamour to the bustling streets of Tokyo. The pair strolled through the vibrant Asakusa district, a locale famed for its lively atmosphere and cultural attractions, before making their way to an evening of dining and entertainment.
The duo made their way to the renowned Asakusa Sumo Stable Annex, a unique venue celebrated for its authentic sumo wrestling exhibitions and traditional Japanese cuisine. This choice of venue highlighted their appreciation for local culture and added a distinctive flair to their evening adventure.
Katy Perry, known for her dynamic performances and eclectic style, opted for a casual yet chic ensemble. She sported a cozy brown leather jacket paired with tan cargo pants, completing her look with a face mask, aligning with the local customs and ensuring a level of privacy.
Accompanying her, the former Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, maintained a low-key appearance in a black coat and denim pants, leading the way through the bustling streets. The combination of their high-profile status and casual attire made for an interesting juxtaposition, blending seamlessly into the vibrant Tokyo nightlife.
Meanwhile the former Canadian prime minister wore a black coat and denim pants as he walked in front of her.
They both finished their casual looks with comfortable sneakers and baseball caps.
Perry is visiting Tokyo as she continues on her Lifetimes Tour. She’s expected to perform two shows at the Saitama Super Arena on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4.
While it was reported that Perry was making plans to spend the holidays with her new boyfriend, it appears the two spent the festive day apart.
The “Dark Horse” hitmaker showed off her holiday spirit as she posed for a selfie while wearing a beret decorated with a Thanksgiving meal last Thursday night.
“Hatty Thanksgiving,” she captioned the post.
Trudeau wasn’t seen in Perry’s social media post. It’s also unclear if he spent the day with his children, whom he shares with his estranged wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
Though, he did attend his ex’s Canadian Thanksgiving celebration along with her entire family last month, according to photos she shared online.
Perry and boyfriend Justin Trudeau made their first public appearance as a couple in October as they celebrated the pop star’s birthday with a night on the town in Paris.
The pair first sparked romance rumors in July when they were seen going for a romantic stroll and later sitting for a dinner date in Montreal.
The politician has since been seen attending several shows on Perry’s Lifetimes Tour.
