On August 12, 2025, Joshua Davis was convicted for his involvement in creating, distributing, and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville resident has been handed a 270-year federal prison sentence for producing, distributing, and possessing child sexual abuse material, as announced by the Department of Justice.
The individual in question, 53-year-old Joshua Keith Davis, was found guilty by a federal jury on August 12, 2025.
According to court records, Davis created explicit videos and images involving young children and infants from 2011 to 2013 and shared this material with others over the internet.
The arrest report indicates that on April 22, 2022, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This tip, originating from the social media platform Snapchat, linked Davis to an account suspected of distributing child pornography.
Officers reportedly made contact with Davis, who confirmed that the account was his, but said he didn’t remember the last time he used it due to being “hacked.”
On June 7, 2022, the report says that the FBI contacted JSO regarding additional information from previous investigations that ties back to Davis. Shortly after, a search warrant was signed for Davis’s residence, as well as an arrest warrant for lewd or lascivious molestation of someone under the age of 12.
Davis was detained during a traffic stop on July 1, 2022, and taken to the Duval County jail. At the same time, JSO conducted the search warrant. The arrest report says that two cellphones were seized during both the traffic stop and the search warrant, and after review, JSO found a combined total of 2,411 files of CSAM, including infant children and animals.
Davis was arrested and charged with 12 counts of possession of ten or more pieces of CSAM.
