If you’re striving for eternal life, why not do it alongside the one you love?
Bryan Johnson, a multimillionaire and self-proclaimed biohacker, has recently confirmed that he’s been in a long-term relationship. For the past three years, he has been dating Kate Tolo, his partner in founding Blueprint.
The 48-year-old Johnson took to social media to share details about his relationship with the 30-year-old Australian, Kate Tolo, describing her as the missing “puzzle piece” in his life.
Known for his ambitious goal of achieving immortality, Johnson shared a heartfelt message, featuring a collage of photos documenting their years together, and announced, “Guys, I have a girlfriend.”
Alongside this announcement, he released a YouTube video where he elaborated on their five-year acquaintance and explained their decision to keep their relationship private until now.
‘We needed time to stabilize, mature, and assess whether this was short or long term,’ he said. ‘It took time to bridge our worlds.’
The Californian tech mogul has made headlines over the past few years for his controversial and unrelenting attempt to prolong his life, spending $2 million per year on regimes to reverse his age and following the strict Blueprint diet.
In a vulnerable post to X, formerly Twitter, Johnson explained that they fell in love after collaborating on the highly publicized endeavor, writing that they share the same ‘obsession’ with how humans will ‘successfully co-evolve with AI.’
Multimillionaire biohacker Bryan Johnson is off the market – and has been for some time, revealing he has been dating his Blueprint co-founder Kate Tolo (pictured) for three years
The longevity guru admitted they were worried at first about taking the next step and admitting their attraction, writing: ‘We didn’t want to imperil our work relationship and we remained deeply skeptical of each other.’
‘Before long, whether we liked it or not, we’d become each other’s favorite person,’ he continued in the gushing declaration.
‘We’d spend every moment we could together. Social events and the weekends were still off-limits as our relationship was professional. We were both secretly wondering, “does the other person feel what I’m feeling?”‘
Johnson said after a ‘year and a half of unspoken affection,’ he broached his attraction, which was reciprocated, and they have been in a relationship ever since.
‘Our minds have become so intertwined that life feels naked without her,’ he declared, describing his relationship with Tolo as feeling ‘like land to me after being adrift and searching for 25 years.’
Johnson, who is the subject of Netflix’s Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever documentary, went on to praise Tolo’s professional and personal skills.
‘I trust Kate as much as my mother. She knows how to scaffold trust. She anticipates your anticipation and knows your reaction before you react,’ he wrote.
‘She’s meticulous in the integrity of our relationship. She’s even been pivotal in helping my father and me reconcile and navigate the contours of our relationship.’

Johnson’s biohacking and restrictive diet have transformed his appearance

The biohacker added that his eldest son, Talmage, has welcomed Tolo into the family with open arms.
‘Nothing makes us happier than being together,’ he said. ‘Family feeds the soul, and we are nourished. As my son considers possible partners, he wisely models them off of Kate.’
‘I’ve wanted this my entire life and impatiently waited 25 years for it to arrive. It’s better than anything I imagined.’

Tolo was also seen accompanying him to Paris Hilton’s birthday party in February, as well as appearing in numerous videos about Blueprint and his various health experiments.
Elsewhere in his announcement post, Johnson mentioned his past relationships, including his ex-wife, with whom he married while he was a part of the Mormon church and shares three children with, and his ex-fiancée, Taryn Southern.
‘I was blind to the obvious warnings. I was dangerously naive,’ he said of his relationship with Southern. ‘That relationship unraveled and was followed by litigation. The experience was unnerving and left me wondering if I could ever trust again.’
In 2021, Southern claimed the father-of-three kicked her out of the home they shared in LA and reneged on their separation deal after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019.
Southern, a film director and tech artist, alleged unjust enrichment, false promise and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
However, the millionaire said he was ‘so confused’ after reading the 13-page letter with the lawsuit and claimed he had always treated his former fiancée well.
In 2023, Johnson released a video to his YouTube Channel, saying he was free from the two-year-long lawsuit and that his ex-fiancé had been ordered to pay him half a million dollars after filing a $9 million lawsuit against him.
In legal documents seen by the Daily Mail at the time – which are dated May 18, 2023 – it states that a judge ‘awarded Mr Johnson $584,199.16 for the attorneys’ fees he incurred in arbitration’ – with the biohacker asking that the court enforce the ruling because his former fiancée had not yet paid him.
