Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has reached out to aid the families of four children who tragically lost their lives in a mass shooting during a birthday celebration in Stockton, California.

Reports indicate that the singer, known for his hit “Last Last,” was deeply moved by the news after listening to a discussion on The Breakfast Club radio show.

Touched by the sorrowful account, Burna Boy contacted music executive Wack 100 and Jason Lee from Hollywood Unlocked to extend his support to the bereaved families.

In his statement, he expressed:

“Hearing about the children killed in Stockton broke my heart. No family should endure such pain alone. I wanted to offer my support to these parents as they embark on the long journey of healing.”

The singer was particularly touched by the story of 14-year-old Amari Peterson, a student-athlete with a 3.8 GPA whose promising future was abruptly cut short.

Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee praised Burna Boy for his humanitarian effort, describing it as “an example of how people around the world want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted.”

The mass shooting occurred on Saturday, November 29, inside a crowded banquet hall where 100 to 150 people had gathered for a children’s birthday party.

Four young people lost their lives, and 11 others were wounded, confirmed victims include eight-year-old Maya Lupian and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta.

Authorities believe the attack may have been targeted, and a $25,000 reward has been announced for information leading to an arrest.

The humanitarian move comes at a turbulent time for Burna Boy, who is currently facing a wave of controversy following his canceled Colorado concert, with several shows been canceled after low ticket sales.
