Jason Kelce has opened up about a challenging chapter in his family’s life.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player, who has four daughters—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 7 months—with his wife Kylie Kelce, reflected on the poignant moment in 2018 when he learned that Kylie had experienced a miscarriage before their daughters were born.

“I remember it being absolutely devastating,” Jason expressed during the March of Dimes 43rd Sports Luncheon in New York on December 3. “I found myself sitting in my truck, overwhelmed with grief and emotion, in the midst of practice and meetings.”

Despite the heartache, the experience provided Jason with a profound realization that he was not alone.

“Moments like these truly highlight the incredible support found in sports and teams,” the NFL star remarked. “Coaches, teammates, friends from the Eagles community, and beyond shared their own stories with me. It was eye-opening to learn how common miscarriages are, yet it’s often a topic that remains unspoken.”
