Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett is reportedly resisting payment of over $3,000 in overdue fees related to her upscale Dallas condominium, according to recent court documents.
The Democratic Representative has been indebted to the Westside Condominium Association for $3,047.79 for more than a year, as revealed by a lien filed on April 11, 2024, as reported by Fox News Digital.
This lien grants the association a legal claim over her property, effectively preventing the 44-year-old from selling the condo until the debt is cleared. Despite being repeatedly notified, she has not settled the outstanding amount.
The lien states that Crockett has defaulted on her financial obligations, refusing to pay the association’s assessments and related charges despite several demands for payment.
As of Tuesday, records from the Dallas County Clerk’s Office indicate the lien remains active, suggesting that Crockett, with an annual salary of $174,000, has yet to resolve the debt.
She purchased the condominium, which is referred to as a ‘refreshing retreat’, in May 2014, per county records reviewed by Fox News Digital.
Her lavish pad comes with a clubhouse, pool, stunning kitchens and bathrooms ‘designed with spa-like features,’ according to a description of Westside Condos on Homes.com.
News of her mammoth balance comes just after Federal Election Commission filings revealed Crockett spent around $75,000 of campaign funds on lavish hotels, personal security and limo services this year.

The Texan, who represents portions of Dallas, has been spending money on jet-setting trips to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York City and the ritzy Massachusetts enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, the records obtained by Fox News Digital showed.
So far this year, the progressive has spent over $25,000 in campaign funds on travel alone.
Those travel payments included $2,700 for Transportation 4 U Limo service, $2,300 for DCA Car LLC and $1,250 for Bay Area Limousine, according to the filings.
Crockett’s spending on luxury hotels included a nearly $4,200 bill at the Ritz-Carlton, a $5,300 stay at the West Hollywood Edition, $2,300 at The Luxury Collection, nearly $1,200 at the Times Square Edition, over $2,000 at the Cosmopolitan and Aria resort in Las Vegas, as well as two trips totaling roughly $3,000 each to the Edgartown Inn and The Coco in Martha’s Vineyard.
The remaining $50,000 was spent on personal security, the records show.
‘While families in TX30 are fighting to pay rent and buy groceries, she’s blowing campaign cash at the Ritz, the Cosmopolitan, and luxury resorts coast-to-coast,’ Sholdon Daniels, a Republican running for Crockett’s congressional seat, posted on X after hearing of her spending habits.
‘That ain’t representation,’ the candidate added. ‘That’s recreation on we the people’s dime.’
Crockett, who is rumored to be looking at a potential Senate bid, might just be showing why she’s not a good fit for the position, a veteran Democratic strategist told Fox News Digital.

‘Recent weeks have shown she’s just not ready for primetime,’ the anonymous source who’s worked with campaigns across the US, added.
The Daily Mail contacted Crockett’s office for comment.
The congresswoman said she is ‘seriously weighing’ a possible run for Senate against Republican Senator John Cornyn.
Crockett is set to announce her final decision on December 8, per the San Antonio Current.
Although she has not made her candidacy clear, Crockett is currently polling high among other liberal contenders in the race, the outlet reported.
Her latest financial woes come after Crocket refused to walk back comments that framed a member of President Donald Trump’s cabinet as a potential beneficiary of Jeffrey Epstein.
She accused Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin of taking donations from the late financer on the House floor on November 18.
The donation documents billed as evidence, however, had involved a completely different man with the same name as the convicted sex criminal.
MS NOW’s Jacqueline Alemany gave Crocket ‘the opportunity’ to clear the air as a result.
The liberal congresswoman (pictured with New York Rep. AOC) said she is ‘seriously weighing’ a possible run for Senate against Republican Senator John Cornyn
‘You made a little bit of news when you mistakenly accused Lee Zeldin, another Republican, of accepting money from Jeffrey Epstein. But it was a different Jeffrey Epstein, according to the financial records. I want to give you the opportunity to amend that,’ Alemany asked Crockett on The Weekend Sunday.
‘I have no amendments,’ the Dallas congresswoman maintained.
Alemany shot back that Crockett had been ‘trying to insinuate’ that the donations came from ‘”the” Jeffrey Epstein.’
‘Oh, I absolutely was insinuating that it could be possible. That is true ‘ Crockett maintained, before doubling down.
‘But the point is, I never said it was that specific one, because I did not have the adequate time to do it.’
She strangely added how ‘Jeffrey Epstein’ is ‘not, like, a normal name.’
