Kelly Dodd has recently provided an update concerning her relationship with her daughter, Jolie Dodd, following a publicized dispute involving a leaked voicemail. The star of Real Housewives of Orange County discussed the steps she has taken to apologize and clarified their current relationship status.

Last month, a voicemail from Kelly to Jolie surfaced online. Kelly reportedly sent this message via a friend of Jolie’s since her daughter had blocked her number. In the voicemail, Kelly appeared to threaten to expose recordings of Jolie yelling at her father and referred to Jolie as a “dumb little girl.”

In the wake of the voicemail leak, Kelly has indicated that her brother and mother have sided with Jolie in the disagreement.

In an interview with Us Weekly on December 1, Kelly addressed these developments and shared her perspective on the ongoing situation.

Speaking with Us Weekly on December 1, Kelly addressed the situation.

“I apologized to Jolie. All I want is Jolie back in my life,” she said. “I have been trying to narrow the gap and bring Jolie back. I talked to her that way because it was out of anger and frustration.”

She added that Jolie hasn’t forgiven her, though Kelly regrets calling her names.

“Should I have done it? No. Did I apologize? Yeah, I did. But she doesn’t know how to move on, and she’s getting bad advice from bad people, and she has a lot of growing up to do,” said the star. “It is so destructive with my mom and my brother, and everybody should be like, ‘You guys should make amends.’ Normal, healthy people do that. They try to make amends between families. You don’t want division.”

In the leaked voicemail, Kelly told Jolie, “You just opened a Pandora’s box, Jolie. I have recordings of you, screaming at your dad because he isn’t taking you on vacation, screaming that he didn’t buy you a car … Do you remember those recordings that I saved? I have those, and I’m going to publicly put them out there. Do you understand?”

“For you to do this to me after I bought you a car, paid for your college, paid for your health insurance, took you to the doctors, got you all your clothes, I did all that. Meanwhile, your dad was being some f**king loser and put those three kids first before you,” Kelly added. “I have all of those, so what you just did right now, you’re going to look like a fool, you dumb little girl. You’re stupid, okay? For even thinking that you’re going to win.”
