A trapper, collaborating with several deputies from Sarasota County, successfully managed to load a sizable alligator into the back of a truck, eventually transporting it to an alligator farm for release.
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — Ever wondered how many deputies it takes to relocate a 14-foot alligator?
The answer is seven deputies and one expert trapper, at least according to a video shared by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
The footage captures the deputies grappling with the enormous, 600-pound reptile they discovered sprawled across a road.
“Lift it! Lift it!” a deputy can be heard urging as the team struggles to hoist the massive creature.
The trapper and the deputies were able to place the reptile in the back of a truck before releasing it at an alligator farm.
“This massive guest had plans to stay for the holidays, but we had other ideas,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “With a wave goodbye, we say, ‘See ya later, Alligator!’”
