(WHTM) – A significant recall has been issued for thousands of children’s sports tumblers due to potential choking hazards, according to a recent alert from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
HydroJug, based in Ogden, Utah, has recalled approximately 17,000 of its 14-ounce Children’s Sport Tumblers. The recall stems from concerns that the rivets on the handles might loosen, leading to the handles detaching and thus creating a choking risk for children, as detailed in the commission’s notice.
Although no injuries have been reported, HydroJug has acknowledged receiving 656 complaints regarding the loose rivets and handles.
The affected tumblers were available for purchase in May and June 2025 at various retailers, such as Academy Sports and Scheels, and through online platforms including Amazon, Well.com, and iHerb. A comprehensive list of these retailers can be found on the CPSC’s official website.
