In a tragic turn of events, American actress Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff passed away in March at the age of 62, with coroners confirming her death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bach-Hasselhoff gained fame for her role as Kaye Morgan in the popular drama “Baywatch” and also appeared in the sci-fi series “Knight Rider” as Betty, acting alongside her former husband, David Hasselhoff. Despite their 17-year marriage and two daughters, Taylor Ann, 35, and Hayley, 33, the couple’s relationship ended acrimoniously.

Following their divorce in 2017, Pamela faced significant life changes when David successfully petitioned to reduce her spousal support payments. The actor, known for his roles on television, reportedly boasted about the legal win, arguing before the court that he had already paid nearly $3 million in alimony and it was time for his ex-wife to become financially independent. As a result, the judge reduced Pamela’s monthly support from $10,000 to $5,000, a decision made after she had unsuccessfully tried to maintain the original sum.

At the time of the legal proceedings, Pamela, then 55, contended that she faced difficulties finding work in Hollywood, citing the challenging market for actresses as a significant barrier.

She also emphasized that she had devoted much of her life to managing their household and raising their daughters, enabling David to pursue his career without distraction.

David, however, refuted her claims, asserting, “I am at an age when I should be preparing for retirement and not having to continue working to pay support,” marking a stark contrast to Pamela’s perspective.

Although the actress endured financial hardship, her final years appeared to be filled with heart-warming moments, which included the arrival of her new granddaughter, London. 

At the time, Pamela took to social media with excitement and shared that she was overwhelmed with “happy tears” and “bursting with joy.”

In her final social media post, the Baywatch star wished for 2025 to be a year filled with “health, happiness and an abundance of love.”

Pamela was found dead in her $2million Hollywood home, and talking to the MailOnline, a neighbour speculated that the actress’s body was discovered by her distraught daughter, Hayley.  

According to the publication, Hiromi Osiecki said: “She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street, she was crying, saying, ‘I just want to get my car.’”

Following her death, Pamela’s family’s former nanny and assistant, Dateline’s Andrea Canning, told People that the late star had been struggling with her health and money. 

She said: “The last time I saw her, she was walking with a cane. She wasn’t the Pamela I knew; she was just having difficulty getting around. 

“There were times where she’s like, ‘I’m going to be homeless. I’ve got to get out of this house,’ which never happened. She would say it was going to happen, and then it didn’t. And I don’t know how she ended up staying there. I don’t know how she kept her bills paid, because she was always saying, ‘What am I going to do?’”
