Vince Gilligan, the mastermind behind the highly praised Apple TV series Pluribus, has always been meticulous about maintaining the secrecy surrounding his show’s intricate plotlines. However, it appears that his efforts might have been inadvertently compromised by none other than the digital mapping service, Google Earth.

Warning: If you’re trying to avoid any potential spoilers from Pluribus, turn back now! This article delves into discoveries fans have unearthed, which might reveal key plot details. You’ve been cautioned!

Still with us? Alright, you’ve opted to venture further. Let’s dive into the latest buzz surrounding Pluribus that has captivated fans and sparked widespread speculation. Consider this your last opportunity to avert your gaze!

All set? Here goes!

The Pluribus spoiler in question that has fans buzzing originates from a seemingly innocuous source: Google Earth. As anticipation builds for the show’s sixth episode, a Reddit user by the handle Jjhend posted a screenshot from Google Earth. This image reveals a cul-de-sac in Albuquerque, New Mexico, purportedly the residence of Carol, played by Rhea Seehorn. Interestingly, Vince Gilligan has previously noted that this particular setting was custom-built specifically for the series. This revelation has led fans to speculate about its possible implications for the unfolding narrative.

“After hearing that VG had a whole neighborhood built, I wanted to check it out for myself. To my surprise, there is a huge message painted in Carol’s cul-de-sac,” the post reads.

When you head to Google Earth and input the coordinates “35°09’55.4″N 106°44’46.4″W” you’ll see what appears to be a normal, seemingly uneventful aerial view of Carol’s neighborhood. If you view Historical Imagery and go back in time to August 2024, however, the words “come back” appear in white letters on the pavement in front of Carol’s house.

If you go back in time even further, the message disappears and you can catch a glimpse of the set being constructed in August 2023. In both the 2023 and 2025 views, the words “come back” are gone, which has fans convinced that the August 2024 image holds a spoiler for an upcoming Season 1 episode.

As a reminder, the Others left to get space from Carol in Episode 5 and had yet to return in Episode 6, so Reddit user Jjhend suspects the message could be for them. “I would assume this is directed towards the Hive, which would mean they completely cut off contact with Carol and she is trying to get their attention…” the original post reads.

We also know that the Others use drones, and in Episode 2, we learned that the hive was keeping tabs on Carol from 40,000 feet overhead via air force drone. So if Carol did want to send a message, this is a compelling, creative method that would make sense.

As always, we’ll have to tune in to new episodes of Pluribus to see if anything actually becomes of the Google Earth find. But the theories are certainly intriguing. In the mean time, if you’re looking for ways to pass the time until Episode 7, be sure to read Decider’s in-depth interview with Pluribus star Samba Schutte.

New episodes of Pluribus premiere Fridays on Apple TV.
