MT. ZION, Ill. (WCIA) — The countdown to the early signing period has been a whirlwind for Mt. Zion’s four-star tight end, JC Anderson.

In a surprising turn of events, Anderson decided to follow Lane Kiffin, who recently transitioned from LSU to Ole Miss, along with much of the offensive staff, when they relocated to Baton Rouge.

On Friday, December 5, Anderson made his commitment to the LSU Tigers official, signing his letter of intent in a ceremony attended by family and friends.

“The primary reason I chose Ole Miss was because of Joe Cox and the offensive team,” Anderson explained. “I formed a strong bond with them, and when I found out they were all moving to LSU, I felt compelled to join them. Those are my people.” He added, “I originally committed to them at Ole Miss. I really loved Oxford after attending a few games, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to stay with my crew at LSU.”

In light of his new commitment, Anderson has decided not to participate in his senior basketball season with the Braves, a difficult choice he believes is best for his future endeavors.
