Tyrese Gibson electrified the atmosphere at Swizz Beatz’s illustrious afterparty celebrating the inaugural Art Basel Awards in Miami.
The “Fast & Furious” star was spotted cutting loose with guests on the dance floor during the exclusive gathering at Bagatelle Miami Beach on Thursday night.
According to an insider speaking exclusively to Page Six, “Tyrese made quite an entrance, capturing the spotlight instantly. His energy on the dance floor was contagious, sparking everyone to join in.”
Gibson, 46, reportedly immersed himself in a dance circle, capturing the moment on video and thoroughly enjoying the festivities.
“At one moment, he climbed onto a banquette near the DJ booth, showcasing his dance skills,” the source reveals. “The crowd was completely enthralled.”
Gibson was loving the tunes spun by Swizz, who was joined in the DJ booth by Timbaland and DJ Runna.
We hear Gibson was seen partying well past 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Other A-listers in attendance included Pusha T, Khalid, Rich Paul, Black Coffee, Loren Ridinger, Art Basel CEO Noah Horowitz and Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.
As Page Six reported, the “Transformers” star co-hosted a fundraiser benefitting urgent housing, education and health care needs in Jamaica with Busta Rhymes and Mona Scott-Young.
The exclusive cocktail reception for the cause unfolded at The Bath Club Miami Beach Friday afternoon.
Tyrese may have been blowing off some steam amid his tense custody battle with ex-wife, Samantha Gibson, whom he filed to divorce in 2020 after three years of marriage. (They finalized their divorce in February 2023.)
On Thursday, Us Weekly reported that Tyrese filed paperwork demanding primary custody of their daughter, Soraya, 7, after Samantha allegedly moved with their child from Georgia to Oregon without the actor’s permission.
Last year, Tyrese was arrested in court for failing to pay Samantha child support.
The “Sweet Lady” singer also shares daughter Shayla, 18, with his first wife, Norma Mitchell Gibson. Tyrese and Norma were married from 2007 to 2009.
