Among the beloved couples to emerge from the hit series Love Is Blind were Alexa and Brennon, who captured hearts during Season 3 of the Netflix show. The duo, after several years of marriage, celebrated the arrival of their baby girl last year.
Unfortunately, the couple recently made the difficult decision to part ways. They announced their separation via social media, and have since shared insights into their plans for coparenting moving forward.
Alexa addressed her followers earlier this week, using her Instagram account to relay the poignant news. She conveyed a heartfelt message regarding the tough choice they had to make.
Earlier this week, Alexa took to her personal Instagram page to break the sad news. She shared a statement about the challenging decision with her followers:
After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared.
“We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way. While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion,” she added.
The pair originally got married in the Season 3 finale back in 2021, and, three years later, welcomed baby girl Vienna into the world. As of this article’s writing, Vienna is around 16 months old. The family recently celebrated her first birthday, which Alexa posted about on her Instagram.
Brennon Mentioned Irreconcilable Differences
While Brennon has been much more private about the split, he did make a few comments hinting to the reason for the divorce. He previously shared with US Weekly that he and Alexa had been struggling with a “conflict of personalities” that ultimately made it impossible for the marriage to continue.
Brennon also explained that this rift between them would prevent a “reasonable expectation of reconciliation,” and that he planned to retain any assets that were his going into the marriage.
While the finer details have yet to be worked out, it seems that Brennon hopes to work out a custody agreement with Alexa. The outlet reported that, as of this article’s writing, Brennon had already filed a petition to share custody of Vienna:
If such an agreement is made, [Brennon] requests that the court approve that agreement and adopt it as the Court’s order. If such an agreement is not made, [the father] requests the court to make orders for conservatorship of, possession of, access to and support of the child.
So far, we have yet to hear about how Alexa and Brennon will actually split their time coparenting their daughter, and it’s possible it still needs to be worked out in court. For now, both have promised that they will continue to maintain a healthy coparenting relationship for the sake of their child, and Alexa has left images and videos of her soon-to-be ex on her social media.
Those who followed Alexa and Brennon’s season of the show will recall that money was often an issue. The two spoke about getting a prenup, which is no doubt coming into play during divorce proceedings now.
