A man is currently receiving medical treatment after an incident in Marengo, where a block of ice dislodged from a semi-truck and crashed into his vehicle’s windshield, authorities report.

Fire officials in Marengo have highlighted this incident as a cautionary tale, urging drivers to remove ice and snow from their vehicle roofs to prevent dangerous situations on the roads. This warning comes in light of the accident that occurred on December 5th along the 9200 block of S. Grant Highway in unincorporated Marengo.
