A former homicide detective reveals that Bryan Kohberger, a convicted murderer, is attempting to initiate communication with notorious serial killers nationwide.

Chris McDonough, who once served as a detective and now leads the Cold Case Foundation, shared insights with FOX News Digital about Kohberger’s activities while incarcerated at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna.

McDonough disclosed that Kohberger is actively seeking connections with well-known criminals, both within and beyond the prison system.

“He’s been trying to reach out to other serial killers, though it’s unclear if any relationships have been established,” McDonough shared with Fox News Digital. “He’s making efforts to communicate with individuals both inside and outside the prison walls.”

Kohberger’s attempt to bond with other serial killers occurs amidst his reported struggles to adapt to life behind bars. He has voiced several grievances about the prison food quality and is reportedly facing mockery from fellow inmates.

McDonough’s sources suggested that Kohberger “sees himself above everyone around him,” viewing the general inmate population as inferior.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Kohberger avoided the death penalty when he agreed to plead guilty to the murders of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves, along with one count of burglary.

He was sentenced to four consecutive life terms plus 10 years with no chance at parole.
