In a recent “Saturday Night Live” skit, Sarah Sherman took on the persona of a viral sensation—a raccoon that made headlines for raiding a Virginia liquor store in a drunken escapade. The comic twist unfolded during the show’s “Weekend Update” segment.

Colin Jost introduced the character with a playful nod, saying, “Here to explain their actions is that drunk raccoon.” The stage was set for Sherman to make her grand entrance.

With comedic flair, Sherman slid onto the table, embodying the tipsy critter and clutching a bottle of alcohol. Her entrance was both energetic and delightfully chaotic, setting the tone for the sketch.

In character, Sherman quipped, “What happened last night? Did we hook up?” to which Jost, maintaining his composure, replied, “No, we didn’t hook up.” Not missing a beat, Sherman humorously suggested that they could get a bit handsy right there on the desk, adding to the hilarity of the moment.

“No, we didn’t hook up,” he responded, as Sherman then suggested they could get handsy on the table.

Jost quipped that the raccoon had a “serious drinking problem,” to which Sherman responded, “problem being I can’t get drunk in a bathroom without people taking pictures of me face down, ass up!”

Sherman then joked about being hungry and wanting to eat her own poop.

“That’s disgusting,” Jost replied.

“Quiet piggy,” Sherman snapped back, referring to President Trump’s remarks to a reporter last month.

Elsewhere in the skit, Sherman shared stereotypical thoughts about raccoons, saying, “We hear what you call us. Trash pandas. Dumpster dogs. The Sarah Shermans of the forest.”

“You’re not nearly as hairy as Sarah Sherman,” Jost jokingly countered

Earlier this month, a worker at an Ashland-based liquor store in Virginia found a raccoon knocked out on the bathroom floor after going on a rampage throughout the shop, per AP News.

The raccoon had smashed several bottles, creating a pool of alcohol.

Local animal protection services shared that the raccoon wasn’t injured.

The animal was later returned to the wild after a few hours of sleep.
