Authorities in New Jersey have escalated their efforts to locate a man missing since the end of last month.

As reported by Jersey Shore Online, a renewed search operation was carried out for 22-year-old Rutgers student Morty Wortman at the Collier Mills Wildlife Management Area. Surveillance footage captured Wortman, last seen on November 21, entering a friend’s vehicle at the Regional Day School in Jackson, near the expansive 12,000-acre preserve.

Although Wortman’s car was found at the school, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Jersey Shore Online noted that the police have broadened their investigation into Wortman’s disappearance, classifying him as endangered. The search has engaged multiple agencies, including both state police and prosecutors, who are actively pursuing leads.

The identity of the friend last seen with Wortman has not been disclosed. However, Wortman’s brother revealed to News12 that the friend is not cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Wortman was described as standing 5-feet and 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, and having dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has a nose piercing and several earrings in both ears. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, burgundy hoodie, and blue jeans.
