A recall alert has been issued concerning minced meat distributed at various independent retailers, including IGA supermarkets located in Queensland. The warning comes from Warwick Meats QLD, which advises customers to be cautious about their Premium 4 Star Mince Beef 500g, particularly those with a “Best Before” date of 13/12/2025. This particular batch is potentially contaminated with plastic.

The notification emphasizes the risks associated with consuming food containing plastic, which can lead to illness or injury. As a precaution, customers who have purchased the affected mince are strongly advised against consuming it and should return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

For those concerned about their wellbeing after potentially consuming the contaminated product, seeking medical advice is recommended to address any health issues that may arise.
