UES soccer mom kicks up controversy asking about private jet for son’s games, ‘he’s never flown commercial’

They have some serious soccer ambitions.

The Upper East Side Moms Facebook group is abuzz once again, igniting a fresh debate. This time, it’s over a post from an anonymous member seeking guidance on whether to charter a private jet for her son’s travel soccer matches.

In a message viewed by Page Six, the concerned mother wrote, “My son is joining a travel soccer team. He’s never flown commercial, and it’s been a while since I have either.”

The post continued, “Would it be inappropriate for me to fly privately while my son travels with his team in coach? Parents usually act as chaperones, so I’m considering hiring his former nanny for that role.”

She further questioned the group, pondering, “Does this make me a poor parent? I want to support him but also prefer comfort over traveling coach and staying at Holiday Inns. I feel like it might actually benefit him to experience commercial flights.”

The message to the group with over 35,000 members sparked polarizing replies, parodies and some saying it can’t be real. (Page Six has anecdotally heard enough about private jets and travel sports to know that it is a thing among the upper crust.)

Either way, replies included remarks such as, “Can you adopt me,” “What did ChatGPT recommend” and “You’re the worst,” as well as, “My friend’s kid was on a team a few years ago where some of the parents had planes. Turns out flying the coaching staff private helped with playing time.”

Others accused the post as being pure “rage bait.”

Another commenter chimed in by saying, “Girl fly private if that’s what you normally do… Trust me I get it. You can never turn right again when you get on a plane and I’ve flown private a handful of times.”

Someone else joked in a parody post, “My son is joining a travel baking team and competing for the Great British Bakeoff. The rest of the team is riding by boat in steerage,” before getting more ridiculous from there.

TikToker Bryce Gruber then picked up on the controversy and posted about it in her popular feed.

The group’s rival chain, UES Mommas, was previously featured in The Post when it was mysteriously temporarily shut down to the delight of the Moms of the Upper East Side group.

The UES moms groups have previously been mired in various controversies involving topics from Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to BLM to giving out-of-touch advice about keeping kiddies warm with “cashmere socks.”
