LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. () — On Tuesday morning, Liberty County High School was evacuated following a bomb threat, according to officials.

The Liberty County School System (LCSS) released a statement indicating that the evacuation was prompted by a bomb threat targeting the high school.

Upon receiving the threat, the school administration promptly notified law enforcement and moved students and staff to a designated safe area. Police are currently on the scene assessing the situation.

The school is under lockdown as authorities conduct a thorough search. Parents are urged to refrain from coming to the campus to prevent disruption of police activities.

“We prioritize the safety of our students and staff and treat all threats with utmost seriousness,” stated LCSS. “We are collaborating closely with local law enforcement to ensure the school is secure for everyone to return.”
